Now that it’s reached 1900, I thought a little giveaway (a bit of a teaser of what the 2000 surprises will entail). To make this giveaway “facebook legit” I have to have contest details on my blog as there are hefty fines for contests held on Facebook if certain protocol is not followed, so here we are:

The giveaway details are simple and as follows:

In honor of my new line of “Supergirl” hair clips. I will be giving away a free set of all 5 clips to a fan. The first 19 people who comment under my Whimsical Elements Fan Page profile picture ( which is the giveaway prize of the Supergirl clips) will be entered into a random draw based on their number of entry ( 1-19). A winning number will be generated with random.org and posted tomorrow morning (Monday, August 16th,2010) at 11:00am MST.

This contest is open to ANYONE who has liked my page, I only ask that you enter once.  I will pay for any shipping charges that may result from a winner not being local.

I am feeling guilty about this. A lot has been happening behind the scenes for Whimsical Elements and wonderful new products, including new products cards and new website images are currently underway. I’ve been quietly building up stock like a busy bee, also getting more and more excited about the upcoming November edition of WeeStock Baby Expo at the Mayfield Trade Centre in Edmonton, Alberta Canada that I co-produce with a great friend and owner of Golly Gee Baby, Christina Dennis.  We are still accepting new applications at www.weestock.ca if you or someone you know is interested =)

I recently went to the mountains with my daughter Niyah (2 years) and my hubby Doug for our 5th anniversary. Although brief, it was a great time for me to step back and reflect on where I want my company to go, what product lines I want to focus on, introduce and the overall image of Whimsical Elements and where I want that to go. In summary, I was able to decide on what was REALLY important to me.

So I am still around, busy and fully intend to start tutorials and hold some more giveaways in the near future! Thank you for all of your support and patience while I sort out all things Whimsical Elements!

My amazingly talented husband Doug designed this site painstakingly and I am extremely happy with the results. You will notice that there are a couple empty categories, but I am working on filling them up with content, I just couldn’t wait to make the site go live one more day :) As always, my products are often changing and I am constantly adding new items to the store:) So please check back often!

Something new that I am introducing on this site is a blog. I have always been fascinated with blogs and knew I wanted one. I’m hoping to make it a wonderful venue to share stories, events, ideas and tutorials with all of you fabulously creative people out there :)

So please let me know what you think. Images and certain things will be tweaked here and there, but like I said, I just couldn’t wait any longer :)
